Privacy policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what data we collect when you use Darsumi, what we use it for, who we share it with and the choices you have.
Who we are
Darsumi is a platform by MSC Development Group LLC. It lets residents report problems in public spaces to their municipality, and lets municipalities handle and follow up on them.
When you send a report, your municipality decides how to handle it. We run the platform on its behalf and use your data only to provide the service.
What data we collect
- Your phone number, to verify it is you and to update you about your reports.
- Your name and email address, only if you choose to give them.
- What you report: the place, the category, the description and the photos.
- The record of your consent to receive text messages: when you gave it, where (the website or the app) and which version of the notice you saw.
- Technical data: the type of browser or app you sign in with, and your IP address, which our protection systems use to stop abuse.
- If you request a demonstration for a municipality: the municipality or organization's name, your name, title, email, phone and message.
What we use it for
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
- Verifying your phone and signing you in.
- Getting your report to the right municipality and the team that handles it.
- Telling you when your report is received, when the municipality needs more information, when its status changes and when it is resolved.
- Protecting the service against abuse and fraud.
- Answering municipalities' demonstration requests.
Text messages
We text you only if you give us your number and agree to receive texts: sign-in codes and updates about your reports, up to 8 a day. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop receiving them and START to receive them again. Reply HELP for help, or write to info@mscpayroll.com.
We do not share or sell your phone number or your consent to receive text messages to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Who sees your data
Your municipality's authorized staff see your reports, and your number, name and email when they need to contact you. Our team accesses them only to run the service and provide technical support.
If your municipality has a public map, one of its moderators writes a separate summary to publish. Your name, number and email are never published, the location is shown only as precisely as the municipality chooses, and faces and licence plates are blurred in published photos.
We use these providers to run the service, and each receives only what it needs:
- Amazon Web Services: hosts the platform and the database, and sends emails.
- Twilio: sends and receives text messages.
- Anthropic: provides artificial intelligence assistance to staff, if the municipality uses it. Personal data is removed before any text is sent to it.
- OpenFreeMap: provides the map images. Your browser requests them directly, so it sees your IP address.
- Stripe: processes municipalities' payments. Residents never pay.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
How we protect it
Your number, name and email are stored encrypted. Every connection uses HTTPS. The database keeps each municipality's data separate. Every photo is re-encoded, which removes its GPS location and the phone's hidden details. Staff actions are recorded in an audit log.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in for up to 30 days, another for municipal staff sessions, and we may store the language you choose. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your reports and contact details for as long as your municipality needs them to handle reports and meet its record-keeping obligations. If you reply STOP, we keep that record so we can keep honouring it. We keep demonstration requests for as long as needed to follow up on them.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it or ask for it to be deleted by writing to info@mscpayroll.com. Some reports may be part of your municipality's public records; in that case we pass your request to the municipality, which decides.
Children
Darsumi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with its date. If the way we use your phone number changes, we will ask for your consent again.
